Xizhong Island is located in the east coast of the Bohai Sea and the middle part of the west side of Liaodong Peninsula. It is about 110 kilometers from Dalian on land and 290 kilometers from Shenyang. It is a long and narrow island from the northeast to the southwest, with a natural coastline of 51.3 kilometers and a planned area of 95 square kilometers. It is the only petrochemical industry layout base in the northeast, and also a world-class, high-level, environment-friendly and internationally competitive petrochemical industry park with an international perspective.
